About Emile Neethling
I’m a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation, providing life, leadership, and mental performance coaching in Auckland. I work with leaders, athletes, and individuals navigating pressure and important decisions.
Pressure has a way of narrowing our thinking.
In leadership, sport, and life, the moments that matter most are often the moments when clear thinking becomes hardest to access.
My work focuses on helping people step back from the noise, see situations clearly again, and move forward with confidence. From that place, better decisions are made, confidence grows, and meaningful forward movement becomes possible.
For over two decades, I’ve worked with leaders, athletes, and individuals navigating pressure, performance, and important life transitions.
The goal is simple: help people think clearly when it matters most.
Experience and Background
My background spans elite sport coaching, leadership development, and high-performance coaching across both business and sport environments.
Earlier in my career, I worked in high-performance sport, coaching athletes and teams competing at provincial and national levels in South Africa. These environments taught me an important lesson: talent and effort alone rarely determine outcomes. The ability to regulate emotion, maintain perspective, and make clear decisions under pressure is often what separates good performance from exceptional performance.
Over time, my work expanded beyond sport into leadership and personal coaching. I began supporting business leaders, professionals, athletes, and individuals navigating complex decisions, demanding roles, and important life transitions.
Today I work as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation, supporting leaders, athletes, and individuals who want to perform, lead, and live with greater clarity, ownership, and confidence when it matters most.
The Approach
My coaching integrates high-performance psychology, emotional regulation, and practical leadership thinking.
Rather than offering generic advice or rigid formulas, the work focuses on helping people understand what is really happening beneath the surface of a situation.
Together we work to:
• Calm the internal noise that clouds judgment
• Find the leverage points that truly matter
• Move forward with clear decisions and ownership
The work is practical, grounded, and focused on real-world decisions and outcomes.

What Working Together Looks Like
Coaching provides a structured space to step back from day-to-day pressure and examine situations with greater clarity. Through thoughtful conversation, reflection, and practical action steps, we work together to move forward with confidence.
Clients often come to coaching when they are:
• navigating leadership challenges
• seeking higher levels of performance
• managing pressure and expectations
• making important personal or professional decisions
• moving through significant life transitions
The conversations are thoughtful, practical, and focused on helping you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Outside of Coaching
Outside of coaching, I value time with my family, staying active, and continuing to learn from both sport and leadership environments.
These experiences continue to reinforce the same principle that sits at the heart of my work:
Clarity creates better decisions, stronger leadership, and more meaningful progress.
